Lilly’s new “Cialis: The Best Deal” campaign, in which the drugmaker is to sell its popular ED treatment in the United States, has been met with a sharp criticism from a number of health experts.
“Cialis is the best deal for erectile dysfunction,” said Dr. Albert Bourla, a urologist at New York University. He is the chairman and chief executive of a leading pharmaceutical company that sells the drug, which sells for about $1 billion.
The drug maker has been under fire for its lack of attention to health risks. The New York Times last week reported that it was looking into a possible lawsuit involving the drug maker’s alleged marketing of the impotence drug.
